We are excited to announce that ArtistWorks has officially joined a consortium of major online music education companies, which includes TrueFire, JamPlay, and FaderPro. The collective are all portfolio companies of private equity firm, Growth Catalyst Partners. These four firms provide musicians around the world with music instruction on dozens of instruments and genres while delivering access to Grammy Award-winning artists, top session players, and world-renowned educators.
Founded in 2008, ArtistWorks partners with master musicians and enables them to create and preserve their teaching legacy online. Each hand-selected ArtistWorks teacher brings years of performing, recording, and teaching expertise to their online music lessons, offering the rare combination of virtuosity and educational excellence. The instructional format is empowered by the company’s industry-unique Video Exchange® Learning Platform, which allows subscribing students to submit practice videos and receive personal video assessments from their teacher. Students have access to hundreds of music lessons in each course, and the added benefit of Video Exchange brings an entirely new level of interpersonal learning to online music education.
“We welcome this new alliance that ensures fulfillment of the long-held ArtistWorks mission to ‘teach the world music’. Working alongside the other top-quality consortium companies who strongly complement each other will allow exciting new collaborations and exceptional learning opportunities for lifelong players,” says Patricia Butler, CEO and Cofounder of ArtistWorks.
While ArtistWorks will continue to operate as a stand-alone brand and will maintain its industry-unique learning experience through Video Exchange Learning®, we are excited to belong to this alliance of the world’s leading online music education companies.
ArtistWorks has taught hundreds of thousands of students in over 80 countries around the globe with an unwavering mission to “teach the world music.” Through our affiliation with TrueFire, JamPlay, and FaderPro, we’re pleased to continue our legacy while expanding our collective reach to bring more music to the world, together.
