“The Washington Post:” Musicians turn to Online Teaching
Over the last year, musicians, like so many others, have had to get creative and craft alternative sources of income as live concert events and touring remain on hold. Fortunately, and maybe unsurprisingly, the public’s intrinsic craving for all things music hasn’t seemed to diminish even slightly during the pandemic. And for many, the craving has even amplified as they look for new ways to bring music into their lives—like learning to play an instrument themselves.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM PETER ERSKINE
Happy Saturday and holiday greetings, everyone.
As some of you might have heard or read about, I had a health scare earlier this week that resulted in my being rushed to the hospital early on Tuesday morning ... and having four stents placed inside of my arteries on Wednesday morning by an incredible cardiologist (he reminded me of Louie Bellson with his skill and confidence!). Wonderful team of doctors and nurses, I am now back home and recovering. I have ten videos awaiting my viewing and response and I promise to get to them as soon as I am able, hopefully by tomorrow at some point (on Sunday) or Monday latest, okay? There may be more by then, I will attempt to do video BUT I will NOT be able to play ... doctor's orders ... the arterial catheter point of entry was @ my right wrist, and so I am not allowed to use it in any manner for another few days. (Typing this is not easy!)
Thank you all for your patience and understanding!
And EVERYONE: STAY WELL
Peter Erskine
