On December 30, 2021, a wildfire broke out in Colorado that would grow to become the most devastating in the state’s history. Over the course of just a few short days, the fire, which became known as the Marshall Fire, burned nearly 6,200 acres, destroyed over 1,000 homes and buildings, and required the evacuation of roughly 35,000 people. Causing over $500M in damages, the Marshall Fire was absolutely devastating and impacted the lives of thousands of Coloradans.

It’s especially intriguing to hear two musicians perform on the same instrument side-by-side. The unique qualities of each player are amplified in the context of duelling instruments, which often makes for a remarkable listening experience.

Bluegrass Guitar Lesson: Harmonizing a Major Scale with Chris Eldridge
Understanding the framework of the fretboard and the manner in which chords and notes fit together and relate to one another is essential as you progress on the acoustic guitar. Knowledge of basic music theory and how those concepts manifest themselves on the fingerboard will make everything from internalizing new tunes to learning songs by ear, alternating between keys, and more that much easier.
