Tony Plays Pete Seeger Birthday Bash
PBS is airing the celebratory and talent-laden Pete Seeger’s 90th Birthday Show on its stations coast to coast from July 30th through August 16th. Banjo master Tony Trischka was among 44 other stellar performers who joined Pete for his birthday and fund-raising celebration on May 3rd at the Madison Square Garden. PBS captured the singing and picking 4-hour marathon into a pared down version for its “Great Performances” series. Read More

TTSB Grand Opening in late July
The Tony Trischka School of Banjo has begun beta testing with banjo players from around the world. Tony's entire video curriculum is posted and testers will be taking the lessons, recording themselves practicing, then uploading a video for Tony to review. No matter where Tony is, he responds and posts his comments and further assignments to the site along with the student's video submission available for viewing, only to members, in the Feedback Center. Using Backing Tracks
Andreas is asking that everybody use the backing tracks for their lessons from this AGU site as much as possible. He set up these backing tracks with certain playing elements in mind. And, as well, it helps all other students watching the Master Classes to be able to have the same backing tracks to practice and demonstrate with. Read More
