Your instructor is Jonathan Coopersmith, Chair of the Curtis Institute Music Studies Department. He has conducted the Philadelphia Orchestra Society, Westminster Conservatory Orchestra, Wilmington Orchestra, University of Pennsylvania Wind Ensemble, and Penn’s Landing Orchestra. Jonathan is an engaging teacher who can effectively simplify complex topics across a wide variety of instruments and genres.
No matter what genre of music you study, music theory is an invaluable tool that provides the additional vocabulary to speak the language of music more fluently and effectively. We designed this new video offering to add real world value for our students. Most ArtistWorks members will benefit from a basic, solid grounding in music theory while others will take advantage of higher-level lessons on classical music theory.
