The mandolin cummunity has lost one of it's great teachers, performers, publishers and dear friends.
John McGann professor at the Berkelee College of Music passed away last week suddenly of complications with his kidneys.
He was a good freind of mine and he helped many students learn the mandolin during his tenure at Berklee. He also led various ensembles at the school featuring many instruments and in a variety of styles.
Thank you John for all you did for our instrument and our heartfelt wishes go out to your family during this difficult time.testing
