Last month, Pearless Guitars proudly announced the release of two signature Martin Taylor guitars, appropriately named the Maestro and the Virtuoso. Shortly after, native Georgian guitarist Shaun Hopper purchased a signature Martin Taylor Maestro, making it the first one ever sold in North America.
Shaun recalls the first encounter with his new Peerless Maestro this way:
"Martin Taylor is a fantastic fingerstyle jazz guitar player and I love his playing. A gentleman in the [RedZone] guitar center...said they've got these guitars called Peerless. New Flatpick Guitar Improv Workshop
We're really excited to announce the start of a new Improv Workshop department at the School of Guitar with Bryan Sutton. Bryan will put up the basics of a tune and then over the coming months will release three different solos for that song using a lot of the tools that he teaches at his online flatpicking guitar school from the three shapes, basic major scale theory and even rhythm options for fiddle tunes. Darol Anger will provide fiddle leads that students can use and it will provide a way for guitarists to improve their improv technique. Students can send in their own solos to these tunes so Bryan can give feedback using Video Exchange. Click here to go to the new Improv Workshop section on the site.
